1970 Pontiac Trans AM Polar white, Automatic Transmission, loaded with factory options.

This Documented California Rust Free Trans AM was sold at Merdian Motors in Concord California and has been a California car ever since. She comes factory equipped with a Polar white exterior and a red Deluxe interior. A 400 RAM air III motor, Turbo Hydromatic 350 automatic transmission, positraction rear end, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, power rear window defroster, power windows and door locks, tilt steering, power deck lid, AM FM 8 Track stereo, convenience lamps, and custom trim package.

This Trans AM came loaded with all the goodies. We are currently doing a complete nut and bolt restoraiton on her. This car will not be sold until the restoration is complete. We will entertain interesting offers to purchase her once the restoration is complete.

This Trans Am is a great investment for your private collection. In the March 2008 issue of High Performance Pontiac there is a article under Blogs “Wildest Factory Freak Pontiac” this article pertains to several rare Pontiacs one of which is a ’701/2 *** Polar White with red interior, used for a Pontiac press photo .

1970 Trans Am Ram Air III, Automatic, Polar White, Red Custom Interior, Custom Seat Belts, Air Conditioning, Rear Defroster, Radio and Tape Stereo, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Steering, Soft Ray Glass all, Convenient Lamps, Power Deck Lid, Center Console, Vanity Mirror Visor, Custom trim, Guards Door Edge, Molding Décor.

This Car was shipped to Meridian Motors Concord California on 04-15-70 and has been a California car ever since.

This car was undergoing a complete restoration, and due to a illness in his family the client has very reluctantly decided to sell it.

Lets start this auction by saying we restore a lot of Pontiacs at Muscle Car City and rarely do we see such a solid car. The floor pans, trunk pan, are original and are in excellent condition. The doors, fenders, hood, deck lid came with the car and appear to be original to the car and are solid. We already did the very little cut and weld in the lower quarters, and rear lower valance for you.

The rest of the work will be alignment, average body work, blocking, paint and assembly.

The Good: Motor

The Ram Air III 4 bolt main motor has just been professionally rebuilt back to factory specification’s and is ready to install. The motor comes with all brackets, pulleys, Air conditioning compressor and brackets, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, Quardajet 4v Carburetor, Air Cleaner, Hood Scoop, Distributor, and wiring harness. Radiator core support is complete and in nice condition.

The Good: Drive Train Turbo Hydromatic 400, Drive Shaft and PosiTraction Rear End.

The Good: Interior Basically all complete nice dash Bezel, Seats are factory and in nice condition, Nice Set of complete original seat belts, Tilt Steering Colum, Steering wheel, all Gauges are in nice shape, power windows and door locks work fine, factory stereo and 8 track “needs refurbish” center console “needs refurbish”, factory dash in nice shape but “needs refurbish and stereo insert has been cut out. Factory door panels are solid but “need refurbish” interior wiring harness is complete, factory rear view mirror, factory defroster in nice shape, power trunk lock, courtesy lights, headliner bows, and snaps, dome light and wiring,

The Good Body: It’s Solid, the rear speaker shelve is original no additional cut outs, the front nose is freshly refurbished, grills are nice “not broken” also comes with running light’s, headlight bezels “need chroming” backing plates for headlights, has factory correct date coded Rally Rims, side mirrors, all exterior molding is complete and in nice condition, side marker lights, rear tail light’s, rear factory wheel well spoilers, and rear bumper.

The good a lot of extra parts go with the car.

WE ASSEMBLED THIS CAR FOR THE PHOTO’S, AND SHIPPING YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE CORRECT ASSEMBLY WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE RESTORATION. We will install the motor and transmission for shipping purpose only.

This car is solid and we have tried to include all the reasonable necessary parts for restoration. The winning bidder will be able to contact us once he or she has received the car and if there are parts missing and if we have them !!, we will be more than happy to ship them to you.

The shipping cost will be your responsibility and the parts must be WITHIN REASON, NOT USERIS AND EXCLUDING such items as “new carpet” seat upholstery, headliner, dash and center console refurbishing, door panels, new engine components such as starter, alternator, distributor cap, we will help out as much as possible.
